It has hard to believe that the Summer Term is here and the children only have a few months left at Primary School. Thank you for supporting our recent Elvis day, it was a great success and the children enjoyed themselves. I hope you have had chance to watch the DVD that was created.
It is going to be a busy term with much to look forward to. A summary of important dates;
May 10th-13th - SAT tests
June 15th - Cross Phase Day at Tarporley High School
June 21st-23rd - Conway visit
June 29th - Visit to Parliament
July 1st - Morning visit to High School
July 12th - Picnic at Peckforton Castle / Year 6 Performance - The Blue Crystal
July 16th - Leavers Service
Currently, the children are busy preparing for the forthcoming SAT tests. I have been impressed with the children's positive attitude and determination. I am sure come the tests the children will do their best, we can of course ask for nothing more.
I am looking forward to our topics this term which are; Underwater, Theatre, The World Cup and Democracy. As you will see the topics are linked to the main events happening this term. For each topic a planning wheel will be produced and on display outside our classroom as well as on the schools website.
With regard to the children's forthcoming transition to High School I will be asking the children to express a preference for who they would like to be with. There is no guarantee that the children will be in a tutor group with the children they have chosen. I will be liaising closely with the High School and hope that the final groups will be to everyone's satisfaction.
Thank you for your support over the past two terms and as always if you have concerns or questions about your child's progress or well being please contact me at school.
